Terms of Service

1. The service

EdgeiT LLC (“we”, “us”) provides Townlight, a software platform that helps businesses create, review, approve, schedule and publish marketing content, together with related features such as campaign planning, holiday suggestions, templates, analytics, newsletters, ad copy and an assistant (the “Service”). These terms apply to every business and person that uses the Service.

2. Accounts and businesses

The person who sets up a business on Townlight (the “account owner”) invites team members and assigns their roles. You are responsible for the people you invite, for keeping sign-in details confidential and for all activity under your business's account. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for your business.

3. Your content and data

You own the content, photos, documents and the business, product, service, event and team information you provide, and the content generated for you. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process and display it in order to run the Service, including sending it to our AI model provider and to the social platforms you connect. We do not use your content to train AI models.

4. Approval and publishing

The Service never publishes content without a person at your business approving and scheduling it. You are responsible for reviewing content before approval and for its accuracy, legality and compliance with the rules of the platforms it is published to.

5. AI-generated content

Generated content is a draft. Although the Service keeps track of where facts came from and runs brand checks, AI output can be wrong. You must review every draft. We make no warranty that generated content is accurate, original or fit for a particular purpose.

6. Connected accounts

When you connect Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or other services, you authorize us to act on your behalf within the permissions you grant, subject to those services' terms. We store access tokens encrypted and never store your passwords. You may disconnect at any time.

7. Newsletters

If you send newsletters through the Service, you are responsible for having permission to email your subscribers and for what you send. Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link, which you may not remove or work around.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to publish unlawful, deceptive, infringing or harassing content, including fake reviews or endorsements; to impersonate others; to use private information about people without authorization; to send unsolicited email; to probe or disrupt the Service; or to exceed the limits of your plan through automated means.

9. Plans, billing and trials

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. Usage beyond plan limits is paused until the next period unless you buy more posts, as shown on the pricing page. Trials turn into paid plans only if you choose one. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

10. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available and to fix problems promptly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where practical.

11. Confidentiality and security

We protect your data using the practices described on our Security page. Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential.

12. Ending your account

You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. When an account ends you may export your content for 30 days, after which it is deleted from active systems.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

14. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the Service or by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
